Jason Veny Featured Panelist at Union Lawyers Conference
Murphy Anderson partner Jason Veny was a featured panelist at the 2026 Union Lawyers Alliance (ULA) Conference in San Francisco. The topic of Jason’s panel was “Lessons on Bargaining and Organizing Outside Labor Law.” The focus of the panel was an exploration of bargaining, organizing and worker advocacy strategies beyond traditional labor law frameworks. Jason’s presentation explored the current fragmented state of federal and state labor law with a focus on opportunities and challenges when collective bargaining rights are absent, limited or rescinded.
Joining Jason on the panel was Matt Blumin, Deputy General Counsel of the American Federation of State County and Municipal Employees (AFSCME) and Andrew Huddleston, Director of Advocacy of the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE).
