Murphy Anderson to Receive Washington Lawyers Committee Outstanding Achievement Award

April 12, 2022

Murphy Anderson PLLC will receive a Washington Lawyers Committee Outstanding Achievement Award at the Committee’s annual Brandon Awards Luncheon on Wednesday, June 1.

The award recognizes Murphy Anderson’s cutting-edge work representing a class of workers against a construction company, co-counseling with the Washington Lawyers Committee and the Public Justice Center. Approximately 250 workers are eligible for payments under the terms of the settlement, which totals approximately $1,050,000. The litigation and settlement included industry-wide changes in business practices. Mark Hanna, Roseann Romano, and Adam Breihan worked on the case for Murphy Anderson.

Murphy Anderson also is being recognized for assisting with the Washington Lawyers Committee’s Workers Rights Clinic, collectively serving as the Supervising Attorney for six months during a staff transition at the WLC. Murphy Anderson attorneys Mark Hanna, Joni Jacobs, Roseann Romano, and Nicholas Mendoza worked with advising attorneys and intake volunteers to provide advice to workers on a wide range of employment law questions.
