Murphy Anderson welcomes 2018 Peggy Browning fellow Jackie Odum
Jackie Odum is Murphy Anderson’s 2018 Peggy Browning Fund Summer Law Clerk. Jackie is a rising 2L at the University of Texas School of Law. Before law school, Jackie was a researcher at the Center for American Progress in Washington, DC, where she focused on policy solutions to raise wages and combat poverty. Her commitment to the labor movement began at the Center where she helped successfully organize nearly 100 employees with IFPTE Local 70. Unanimously elected as president, Jackie served as the unit’s chief negotiator for its first collective bargaining agreement. She graduated from the University of Texas-Pan American in 2013 and is a proud native of the Rio Grande Valley, Texas.
