D.C. Judge Approves Settlement for All Damages in DCWPCL Prevailing Wage Case

A D.C. Superior Court judge today approved a settlement in Romero et al. v. HEP Construction Inc. et al. The case sought to recover unpaid wages at the applicable prevailing wage rate on behalf of a group of construction workers who worked on a federal office building renovation project.  

The parties reached a settlement of more than $250,000 that fully compensated four workers for their lost wages, plus treble damages and attorneys’ fees. As a result of the lawsuit, Defendants also paid 14 other workers for their unpaid wages.
