Murphy Anderson helps select nonprofit clients with their transactional and organizational legal needs. We make a special effort to understand our non-profit clients’ industries and services so that we can effectively and efficiently handle their institutional and commercial concerns.
Starting with the most fundamental legal work for non-profits, we can assist with the initial creation of a legal form for an organization and with establishing the governance of the new institution. We can also assist with compliance with IRS rules for nonprofits, including rules concerning exempt status under Sections 501(c)(3) and (c)(4).
Murphy Anderson supports the day-to-day operations of non-profits as well, from assistance with commercial needs such as negotiating and reviewing contracts with third-party vendors, to assisting with real-estate matters, to establishing fair employment practices and addressing human-resource needs.
